You must treat all identification codes, passwords and other security information as confidential. If we think you have failed to keep confidentiality, we are allowed to disable any security information (including your passwords and codes).

You agree to follow our acceptable use policy.

If you allow anyone else to use our site, you must make sure that they read these terms first, and that they follow them.

Only use the site as allowed by law and these terms. If you don't, we may suspend your usage, or stop it completely.

Planned Departure provides the user ability to manage their digital life and create succession plans online. Planned Departure transfers right information to the right beneficiaries upon the death or disability of the user and after getting verification from the designated verifiers.

User must complete the registration process of Planned Departure by providing current, complete and accurate information as requested in the applicable registration form. In addition, user is totally responsible for all activities that occur under user's account. The user agrees to contact Planned Departure immediately on any unauthorised use of user's account or any other breach of security.

User should ensure that information about their designated verifiers and beneficiaries is up-to-date to ensure that right information is delivered as soon as possible.

User is responsible for storing all the assets and assigning it to the right people. Planned Departure does not get any insight on what it stored by the user and for whom it is stored.

Planned Departure may contact designated verifiers and beneficiaries unless specified otherwise by the user.

Upon death or disability of the user, Planned Departure contacts verifiers for the proof and verification of the same.

Planned Departure contacts verifier if some one reports that a user is passed away for proof and clarification.

Upon getting confirmation, designated beneficiaries are granted access to specific information.

If specified by the user an online obituary can also be setup for the user with designated moderators.

Planned Departure will monitor user's response to our automated emails, user's Twitter and Facebook account to ensure that user is still active and has not passed away. If these accounts are used by some one else after user's death because of any reason, our system will have no way of identifying it. In such cases, we will only come to know about user's death if someone uses "Report A Passing" feature to tell us that user has passed away.

Planned Departure is responsible for giving instruction to other people on behalf of user. It has no access to and will not follow these instruction on behalf of users.

Planned Departure take no responsibility if information delivered to the beneficiary violate or harm beneficiary in any way. Planned Departure is acting as a courier and does not scrutinise the information it delivers. Planned Departure reserves the right to disclose information where it is necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. Planned Departure also reserve the right to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, by Planned Departure's sole discretion.

Planned Departure will not under any circumstances give up registered information to any third party that may identify you as users of Planned Departure.

Planned Departure may refuse to pass information to the beneficiaries if user's account is in suspended state because of the non-payment. We will however release this information as soon as account is settled by the beneficiary or anyone else on behalf of users.

Planned Departure is not responsible for lost or damaged materials caused by technical problems or forced attack on our systems. Planned Departure will try best to prevent various malfunctions.


We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the site (for example the copyright and any rights in the designs) and in any of the material posted on it. They are protected by copyright.

You are allowed to print one copy and download extracts of any page on the site for your personal reference, but not for commercial use without a licence from us. You must not alter anything, or use any illustrations, video, audio or photographs separately from the text that goes with them.

If you breach these terms, you lose your right to use our site, and must destroy or return any copies you have made.


We do not guarantee the accuracy of material on our site. As far as legally possible, we exclude legal responsibility for the following:

• Any loss to you arising from use of our site

• Loss of income, profit, business, data, contracts, goodwill or savings.

We also exclude, as far as legally possible, all terms and warranties or promises implied by law or by statutes.

We don't exclude legal responsibility for death or personal injury owing to our negligence, or legal responsibility for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else where exclusion is not allowed by the law.


If you contact other users of our site or upload material to it, you must follow our acceptable use policy, which sets out standards for usage. You can read this policy at acceptable use policy. You agree to reimburse us for any costs or expenses we incur as a result of any breach of this term.

We won't be legally responsible to anybody for the accuracy of material that you upload to the site, and we can remove it at any time if we think it doesn't follow our acceptable use policy.


If you do anything which is a criminal offence under a law called the Computer Misuse Act 1990, your right to use the site will end straightaway. We will report you to the relevant authorities and give them your identity.
